Description:
Volunteer Loudoun, located in Leesburg, Virginia, was founded in 1980 as a link between individual volunteers and other county nonprofits to assist with problem solving, promoting group volunteer service projects, volunteer referrals, recognition and training. Today, Volunteer Loudoun is a 501c(3) nonprofit capstone organization striving to support all county volunteers and to help nonprofits increase their service delivery capabilities. It has a special interest in helping as many as 45 core nonprofits assist their low to moderate income (LMI) client groups and is also part of The Points Of Light Institute and HandsOn Network. It has become a multi-faceted organization, with a diversity of programs connecting those with resources to those in need through Loudoun's network of over 300 nonprofits. Looking into the future, Volunteer Loudoun plans to always position itself to quickly respond to the ever-changing challenges faced by individuals, families, nonprofits and communities and the emerging trends of volunteerism over time.

Mission Statement:
The mission of Volunteer Loudoun is to change lives and strengthen communites through volunteerism in Loudoun County.
