Animal Sidekicks is in its beginning stages -- the concept is to offer alternative options to pet owners having to surrender their pets due to a difficult situation such as financial issues, moving, allergies or a death in the family. We would post the pets information on a website an offer to screen potential adopters for them to avoid having pets surrendered to shelters.
Mission Statement:
Our goal is to decrease the frequency of rehoming animals to shelters, and to encourage fulfilling, long term companionship. We hope to achieve this by offering to post dogs and cats on our website in an effort to present owners with positive alternatives to surrendering animals to shelters. Although shelters do amazing work,we believe rehoming through shelters should be a last resort.
