Volunteer Coordinator needed for Recruitment

Project Description:
Day 1 Single Mothers Protection Center is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization operating in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. We provide single mothers with educational resources, assistance, referral services, and hope. We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator. The Volunteer Coordinator assists the organization in helping to recruit and organize volunteers to help with events and programs. Volunteer Coordinator duties include: • Working with the Director of Operations to recruit and retain volunteers. • Conducting volunteer interviews along with the Executive Director and Director of Operations to determine the most appropriate team/department for the volunteer. • Serving as the central point of contact for volunteers regarding questions on volunteer duties and responsibilities. Interested Volunteers should be able to articulate themselves clearly in their oral and written work. Volunteers should also be able to work well with other team members and the public. All volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation Session hosted by the organization.
