Project Description:
GET PAID FOR SERVING YOUR COMMUNITY: NYC POLL WORKERS NEEDED Looking to earn money and participate in the upcoming 2011 Election process? Sign up to be a poll worker or interpreter and you could earn money for working both Election Days! In addition to poll workers, bilingual NYC residents fluent in Spanish, Chinese or Korean are encouraged to apply to serve as interpreters at poll sites on Election Day. Eligibility Requirements: In order to be eligible to serve as a poll worker, applicants must: * Be 18 years of age or older * Be a registered voter residing in New York City * Be a registered member of the Democratic or Republican party * Successfully complete the poll worker training program and pass the exam * Be willing to travel within your borough to your assigned poll site * Be able to work on Primary Day, September 13th and/or Election Day, November 18th
