Mentor Children of Inmates
Project Description:

The Amachi Mentoring program focuses on the most at-risk youth in our community (such as children of inmates, foster children, youth involved with the justice system). Mentors make a commitment to spend time with their mentee match for one hour a week for at least a year -- either at school or doing fun stuff out in the community. Low cost or free tickets may be available to area events and attractions.Service learning and community service hours are available.

Time is one of the most important qualifications for this opportunity. Individuals must be willing to commit four hours a month,for one year to an at-risk child. must be caring, compassionate and eager to empower our youth to take control of their future.
