Finance Committee Manager to oversee Spring Greening Event Budget

Historic Green is seeking a Finance Committee Manager to oversee the projects and event budget for Spring Greening 2012. Historic Green brings professionals and students in green architecture, engineering, preservation and construction together with community members for the purpose of green community restoration and education. Our signature event, Spring Greening, takes place each March and brings hundreds of volunteers to historic neighborhoods of the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans to perform aesthetic and efficiency upgrades on hurricane-damaged homes and buildings. Over the course of two weeks, we complete a score of projects designed to improve the sustainability of the community while restoring its historic beauty. Starting in November 2011 and lasting through the Spring Greening event March 12-23, 2012, the responsibilities of the Finance Committee Manager will be to: - Manage a committee of two individuals: The projects budget coordinator and the general budget coordinator, maintaining contact via email and biweekly to weekly committee conference calls - Create and maintain the Spring Greening 2012 budget, building on estimates based on previous years - Work closely with the Spring Greening Director and other committee managers (Projects, Education, Volunteers/Logistics, Communications/Marketing and Sustainability) to develop and enforce individual committee and project budgets and ensure solvency Spring Greening event attendance is encouraged.
