Railway Garden Docent/Tour Guide

Project Description:
Railway Garden Docents can help in a variety of ways including; giving tours to visitors, helping to maintain the tracks and vignettes, operate the Taltree Railway Garden G-scale trains, & answer questions from visitors about the trains in operation. Essential Responsibilities: •Work as part of a team to add to guests' experience by sharing details about the trains and G-scale railroad system. •Maintain the vignettes, operate trains, and notify staff if any problems occur. •Lead tours for visitors & answer guests' questions about the trains and the Taltree Railway Garden in general- Questions about plants should be directed to Taltree's Horticulture Staff

Additional Skills Required:
Docents should have a friendly attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to answer guests' questions. Before running trains, volunteers must be comfortable with their operation and understand the significance of the plant collection. Close toed shoes are required when on Taltree grounds.
