Mentor a High School Student

Project Description:
iMentor is an innovative high school-based mentoring program that leverages technology and in-person meetings to build effective mentoring relationships between college-educated professionals and students from underserved communities in NYC. Mentors send weekly e-mails and attend a monthly group event, to help students develop the leadership, career and social skills that support academic and personal achievement. As a mentor, you will receive one-on-one support, optional ongoing training, and be a part of a growing community of professionals who share your passion. To become a mentor in fall 2012, complete an application and attend training this January: https://imentor.imentorinteractive.org/survey/intake/mentor/. Mentor Application Timeline: January: Complete application. Attend training. February: Undergo screening. March-June: (If accepted) Attend optional iMentor community events. August: Confirm participation. October: Meet your mentee! If you have any questions, please contact Keith Miller: keith@imentor.org or 212-461-4330 ext. 86.
