The Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center is a nonprofit health facility whose mission is to provide the highest quality professional and compassionate care to ALL individuals (both children and adults) with hearing, speech and/or language disorders in the northeast Florida area. The Center has been serving the First Coast community since 1949 and is conveniently located in the historic Springfield area of Jacksonville. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and has its own private parking.
Volunteer activities can be tailored to the particular interests, expertise and experience of volunteers. Activities can include assisting with the Center’s marketing, social media development, fundraising, and special events activities throughout the year and being involved in the Center’s public relations with businesses and other organizations on behalf of the agency. Volunteers can represent the agency at various community events and serve as program speakers for organizations and businesses interested in learning about the agency. Additional volunteer activities can include conducting marketing and patient demographic research for the agency.
Volunteers must pass a standard background screening conducted by ADP Screening Services. The Center will assume the expense of the required background screening(s).
