Mercy to Mankind Foundation recently received a grant from GOOD Magazine in collaboration with USAID and the Ad Council. The purpose of the grant is to raise awareness within our community about the war, poverty, and conflict that has been devastating east Africa for over two decades. We are using the grant to forward the facts by hosting a benefit dinner in Reston Community Center on Friday, March 30, 2012 and a panel discussion( date and venue not confirmed). The proceeds from the dinner will go towards Mercy to Mankind Foundation's two orphanages that houses a total of 200 children from ages three to 14. The event will consist of keynote speakers, performance, and fun, engaging activities. We are looking for volunteers to not only assist with setting up the event, but also help with contacting potential keynote speakers, advertising, and the general planning of the event.
