ESL Teacher

The Refugee and Immigrant Services division of Goodwill Industries is looking for a volunteer ESL teacher to teach adult ESL classes at the following levels: Beginner-1, Beginner-2, and Intermediate.
ESL classes will be conducted on the following dates:
Group 1: Tuesday and Thursday 6-8 pm
Group 2: Monday and Wednesday 6-8 pm
The duration of the term is 12 weeks. Knowledge of other languages is not a requirement.
Classes will take place in Midwood (Brooklyn) in a fully equipped ESL classroom. This is an ongoing project.
Qualifications:
• Must have previous experience teaching English as a Second Language
• Must prepare and present basic reading, writing, and conversational skills
• Must be available for the full duration of the term
• Must be able to adjust lessons’ pace and strategy according to the students’ needs
