Youth Enrichment Program Mentor

Project Description:
Rehoboth Community Development Corporation's P.E.A.C.E. (People Educating and Centering Efforts) Program is looking for three male and three female mentors to commit to teaching a preconstructed youth soft-skills development curriculum every Tuesday night from 6p-730p for nine consecutive weeks (omitting the weeks of November 13th and 20th). This program provides at-risk youth (particularly those in foster care and living in group homes) with life skills workshops and training in advocacy, financial literacy, leadership development, work readiness and career planning and will run from September 25th until December 4th. We are also in need of two female and two male teachers to volunteer on an "on-call" status for the duration of the program.

Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check (candidates must not have any felonies involving crimes against children); Candidates must be able to provide a transparent, fun and creative atmosphere while managing boundaries; Candidates must be available to teach from 5:45p-7:45p; Experience in teaching and/or mentoring is preferred but all applicants will be considered; Candidates above the age of 21 are preferred; however, we will strongly consider all candidates 18 years and older- especially those in college pursuing a degree in Education
